Kathleen G. Tomsyck, born March, 1917 in Outagamie County, Wisconsin went to her heavenly home on August 2, 2013 at Sunrise at Fair Oaks, Fairfax, VA.
She was preceded in death by the one true love of her life, John L. Tomsyck, her husband of 24 years. She is survived by her four children, Susan T. Silhol (Stewart) of Reston, VA, Linda T. Saponara (Donato) of Orange, CA, John C. Tomsyck (Rebecca) of Ansbach, Germany and Kathleen T. Shea (William) of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Karen M. Silhol, Jonathan L. Silhol, Charles S. Saponara, Sandra S. Binns, John A. Tomsyck; three great grandchildren, Lauren E. Silhol, Leah G. Silhol, Gordon D. Saponara; sister Marcella of Menasha, WI and brother Clement (Renee) of Sarasota, FL. Preceded in death by brothers, John and William.
Kathleen has been an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church since 1960, belonging to the Women's Club and later the Senior Fellowship Club. She was a devoted mother to her family, loved her friends, loved making new friends and had an interest in following current events. Known over the years for her keen decorating eye, Kathleen found her passion for interior design in her later years and would take on annual projects in her home and share ideas with family and friends. Kathleen loved to entertain and always enjoyed a lively party. Family and friends were always warmly welcomed often filling the house with laughter.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church at noon on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Family will receive friends in the Sacred Heart Hall of the church beginning at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made to Brothers of the Holy Cross, (Bro. Roy Smith CSC, Brothers of the Holy Cross, Midwest Province, PO Box 460, Notre Dame, IN 46556-0460).
