Dorothy Pike Jones, 86, of 16 Kay Drive died Monday, February 1, 2010.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Perry Rowley and Henrietta Eugenia Blackwell Pike and widow of Gordon A. Jones.
She was retired from J. P. Stevens, Dunean Plant, and a member of West Gantt First Baptist church.
Surviving are two sons, Benjamin L. Temple of Liberty, SC and Robert R. Temple of Jacksonville, FL and a stepdaughter, Linda Stansell of Columbia; ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, John D. Temple, Sr.; a brother, Walter Thomas "Bud" Pike; a sister, Mary Kimbrough; her first husband, Billie S. Temple; and her second husband, James W. Dickerson.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at West Gantt First Baptist Church. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
