David Jonathan Beard, 63, of 212 Cornelia Street, husband of M. Virginia Williams Beard, died Sunday, January 31, 2010.
Born in Union, he was the son of the late Schumpert L. and Mildred Smith Beard.
Mr. Beard was a Certified Quality Engineer.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Brian Beard and wife, Kimberly, of Brandon, FL and Chris Beard and wife, Cerisse, of Winter Haven, FL; three grandchildren, Kirsten and Raven Beard and Jonathan Shumate; and two brothers, Norman L. Beard and wife, Mary, of Lakeland, FL and Rodney L. Beard and wife, Sue, of Cornelius, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Upstate SC Chapter, 301 University Ridge, Suite 5000, Greenville, SC 29601.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 06, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, West.
